Lycia Theme Designer for graphical Lycia Clients
Theme Designer for graphical Lycia clients
The new ‘Lycia Theme Designer’ allows you to create visual themes that can be applied to your Lycia applications to match your personal tastes or organization’s identity. Its range of features compare to the previous script configurations and theme editors of other 4GL tools vendors has increased exponentially. The 'Lycia Theme Designer' is extremely flexible, very powerful, and, most importantly, a real joy to work with.
The 'Lycia Theme Designer' is an enterprise theme development tool used to design and manage efficiently multiple application themes to target various devices and platforms without compromising it's functional scope for any particular target system.
Virtually any object can be selectively manipulated on different levels - from generic global properties down to conditional event customizations on individual graphical components such as focus and active state. Linear data traditionally displayed in screen/grid arrays can be presented in a form of sophisticated and professional looking charts and diagrams.
The entire theme is hierarchical and object oriented, it is organized to allow cost effective and low maintenance theme management using common object orientated methods and behaviour such as child-parent relation, classes and pseudo-classes.
The previous versions of Querix thin clients used script files to customize the appearance of a 4GL program. LyciaDesktop does not use the script files for that purpose. It uses the Theme Designer to customize the program appearance and the display features are now recorded not in script files but in XML files. This tool can create and utilize XML files which contain the style templates.
