Lycia Client runtime licence (GUI, Batch Process, Web Service) Front End Advanced Client System Runtime Licenses. Implementation & customisation of the GUI front end can be undertaken without modifying the 4GL sources. Minimum quantity is 5 client runtime licenses per deployment site. Each client runtime license entitles the owner to use/connect one Advanced Client System. E.g., 5 runtime licenses could be used for 3 x ‘LyciaWeb' (Ajax HTML5 client), and 2 x ‘LyciaDesktop' (native Windows .NET) client seat sessions. runtimes are SEAT/NODE based. For example a windows desktop deployment can run up to 3 concurrent processes with one licence.

LyciaBI Server - 4GL BIRT & Jasper Interface LyciaBI Server is a business intelligence module that seamlessly integrates into Lycia. It offers wide range of analytical tools for day-to-day and strategic enterprise tasks at operational and decision-making levels. LyciaBI comes with its own server and has native 4GL support. While other elements of Lycia II family naturally extend the functionality of their predecessors from previous Querix products LyciaBI is a completely new feature that cost effectively adds business intelligence tools to the existing potential of your 4GL applications.
You basically get 4gl embedded functionality (objects and methods) to execute, manage and populate 'BIRT' and 'Jasper' reports from within your 4gl code. Both are the leading industry standard reporting engines and and LyciaBI gives you 4GL capabilities to work with these two enginges. These reports can be access and controlled standalone and/or within your 4gl code to create graphical professional looking reports. Note: BIRT, SpagoBI and JasperReports are not a property of Querix. Querix supplies you with an interface to communicate/control with these via special 4gl report data types. - The Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT) Project is an open source software project that provides reporting and business intelligence capabilities for rich client and web applications, especially those based on Java and Java EE. BIRT is a top-level software project within the Eclipse Foundation, an independent not-for-profit consortium of software industry vendors and an open source community. BIRT, just announced that they have surpassed 10 million downloads of the package and boast of over 1,000,000 developers using BIRT world wide.
- JasperReports is an open source Java reporting tool that can write to a variety of targets, such as: screen, a printer, into PDF, HTML, Microsoft Excel, RTF, ODT, Comma-separated values or XML files. It can be used in Java-enabled applications, including Java EE or web applications, to generate dynamic content. It reads its instructions from an XML or .jasper file. JasperReports is part of the Lisog open source stack initiative.
- SpagoBI is an entirely Open Source Business Intelligence suite, belonging to the free/open source SpagoWorld initiative, founded and supported by Engineering Group. SpagoBI supports day-to-day and strategic business, both at the decision-making and operational levels. SpagoBI is hosted by OW2 forge, contributing to the durable and collaborative development of a long-lasting ecosystem. Generic Database Migration
Generic Database (data & application) Migration Services (without testing and fine/performance tuning, etc..) are available from € 1000 up to € 6000. This option is suitable for development departments who want to do the migration themselves to save costs.
Querix Database Migration Service Package
Querix offers a complete database data & application migration package service. The migration is completely done and managed by qualified Querix staff except the product testing, which needs to be done by the customer. It also includes training for future migrations and database independent 4gl development and database training. We can provide you (for no charge or obligation) with a free generic migration or with a fix-priced migration service quotation. Please contact us for further information.
Backup/Emergency System Licenses
Compiler & Client Runtime Licenses for additional Backup-, Reserve-, Standby-, Emergency- (etc…) Systems are available with a 50% discount. Emergency Systems must/can only be in used if the primary system is down (non-operational)
Corporate Compiler and Runtime Licensing.
In cases where a company wishes to deploy Querix Compilers and Runtime on a Corporate Wide basis, a special site license arrangement can be reached. Corporate License Prices are evaluated on a case by case basis (300+).
